Monastrell

Earthy and fruity
Food Pairing
Stews, grilled meat, marinated meat, pasta, lamb, game meat

José Maria Marténez Verdú is the fifth generation in a family of grape growers, but the first to make wine out of these grapes as well. And we are happy about it, because otherwise we would never have been able to introduce you to this full-bodied, fruity wine from Murcia, with aromas of berries, blackberries and plums. Hopefully daughters Xenia, Nydia and Selene, carry on the tradition. The Monastrell grape produces dark, aromatic wines, with an earthy undertone. Delicious with hearty stews, grilled meat dishes and anything from the barbecue.

Recommended with scallops with a fresh creamy sauce, but also delicious with chicken, stuffed pasta or green salad.
